Num. 23:21--this is what God declared of Himself to Israel, "He beholds not wickedness in Jacob (Gen. 32:28), and sees not suffering in Israel: Yahweh his God is with him, and the shout (jubilation) of a king in the midst of him." God sees not worthlessness, wickedness, tribulation, misery, as the consequence of sin, and therefore discovers no reason for cursing the nation. This was said to the Jews, God's earthly people, that He was with them in their midst. Heb. 8:12; 10:17 is said to us, the church, those that are in Christ and Christ in us (book of Ephesians), as His heavenly people, founded upon Christ finishing the work.
It has been said that "love is blind" -- something that I believe is not scriptural, based upon 1 Jhn. 3:20-21. The truth is, love is superior to faults. Someone has said, "of what use would it be to be loved by one who only loved us because He was ignorant of our blots and blemishes? If it is meant that love will not see blots, it is blessedly true, but no one would care for a love that was not at once aware of and superior to our failures and infirmities.
Love is not God-- God is love (1 Jhn. 4:8-16). I am thankful that God always confirms His intimate love for us, His own, by constantly forgiving us.
2 Cor. 2:11 = 1 Jhn. 1:9 = Song of Sol. 4:7 = let all of us look from the top, S.S. 4:8, where all of us that are His, are seated IN HIM, Eph. 2:6.
