You and I, who are the Church of Christ, His bride, His very body, are the dwelling-place of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, in John 16:13-14, guides you and I into the truth of what Christ has finished for His Father and for us. Jesus Himself said the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself. He glories Christ because He receives of what Christ has finished on the Cross.
The Holy Spirit was declaring through Isaiah the truth about the fruit of the travail of Christ's soul, as Christ alone on the Cross would finish the work for His Father and for us. In Galatians 5:22-23 it is referred to as the fruit of the Holy Spirit because He is the only One who could take what Christ has finished and show it unto us. He reveals to us the deep things of God for us by revealing to us how God only thinks about us through the mind of Christ.
The Holy Spirit, who regenerates us, and seals us as proof that we belong to Christ, is never the source who would cause us to question whether or not we are accepted by God. The Holy Spirit will always lead our souls to rest entirely on the work of Christ and His acceptance, as the One who appears in the presence of God for you and me. That is a finished work, and a perfect infinite acceptance.
The work, victory, resurrection, and ascension of Christ is accomplished and is the SURE (because finished) resting-place of faith, which NEVER alters, NEVER varies, and is always the same before God.
He loves you and I, and He will NEVER change His mind about you and I, because when He sees Christ seated at His right hand, when He looks into His face with a deep and loving rest and satisfaction, He sees you and I.
