Weak in Self, Strong in Him

In every case it is where God would have us to be, that we find His precious blessing.

Without Him we can do nothing. When He works in us, through the Holy Spirit, in His grace, how blessed we are to be the vessel of His power and goodness. All of the things that we go through, all the difficulties in every area of our lives, lead us to Him, and everything that does this is in blessing FOR US.

In this gracious process of sanctification, we begin to acquire that kind of the knowledge of the self-life, which strip us of self. Someone has said "why we are not dead to ourselves in a practical and experiential sense, in order that we may be nothing but pure instruments of His wisdom and grace...."

Still it is good for us to feel our nothingness and entire dependence upon Him. So much for all of us to learn and receive the truth of who we truly are IN HIM and WHO HE IS IN US. But if we keep near Him, and it is there alone that we feel what we are, He is faithful not to allow us to be tempted beyond our strength, so that we can always walk in safety in dependence upon Him.

.....When we are weak in self, then we are strong IN HIM, WITH HIM IN US.
