Wait on Him

Isaiah 40:28-31 "But they that wait upon the Lord..." We should wait on His working. Phil. 2:12-13, what only works out for His glory, is what He finished for you and me, and of course, is always the best.
So, while we wait for His working, part of which means He has to work out of us what is not of His glory and our best, it is His working in us, His will and His doing (see Jer. 1:10). The reason for waiting for His will and His work is that His will is essential to our own personal, and intimate enjoyment of Him.
Christ is in heaven, the embodiment of the fulfilled, finished will of God with the Father.
The soul has not known as yet the sweetness and gain of holiness that allows no intrusion from the noxious roots of the flesh. This is ours in Christ, by the will of God, in our position in Christ.
To know this great reality keeps out the doubt and lies in our experience (see Rom. 14:22-23).
We need to wait, and lean entirely upon Him, while He works in us what He already finished about us.
“Having loved His own, He loves us right to the end of an eternal love relationship.” Jhn. 13:1.
