The Lost Sheep

There are many foundational doctrines (teachings) in the Word of God. We need to remember our foundation. God would have us all to know that the sheep that was His was found. No matter what, He didn't stop looking until the sheep was found. When He found it, He carried it on His shoulders until it was safely home.

Who is that sheep to you and I? Is it you? Some loved one, someone that we had a difference with, someone who hurt us and caused us to be angry? If they are His, we can all be sure that He is searching, finding, carrying, and bringing them all back home with Him.

When we stop searching, praying, when we are overwhelmed with weakness or sin, or get lost in our own thoughts and not His, or get lost in self-occupation. He never stops. He cannot and won't deny Himself, who He is in His love for us and our loved ones and those we are concerned with. The patience of love always wins.

Lk. 15:4-7; 1 Pet. 5:7; Heb. 13:5; 1 Th. 5:24; Jn. 10:11, 14, 16; 2 Tim. 2:13; 1 Cor. 3:10-11; Jos. 1:5).
