Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” [Wiles, methodeia: from a compound of "meta," denoting accompaniment, association, succession, participation, transfer, sequence; and "hodeous", to travel, journey, from "hodos", a way.
So, "methodeia", is our English word "method". Methodeia is satan's way, his method of traveling over our minds with his trickery. He lies in waiting with his "errors" to deceive us. This is why it is so vital to wait and trust God to work out in us the perfection of His will in growing in His grace. God's will involves the perfection of His timing and His perfect provision.
In everything in our lives, including growing in grace and knowledge, His timing is as important as His provision. We must remember that "God knows them that are His" (2 Tim. 2:19).
The false errors of satan are learned much more easily than the truth. The truth meets with the opposition of the flesh in us, but it takes years to learn the truth in our experience--error meets with no resistance.
God can, and will redeem the time in our experience if we humble ourselves and bow to the truth as it sanctifies us. It's spiritual energy, the energy of the grace and truth of the life of Christ in us, will continue to keep us. It will, He will keep us strong, because our battle is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wicked spirits in the heavens.
