Struggles

First, we all experience them. Second, our struggle is never who we are in Christ.

In Mt.14:23 the ship was in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. We are in the midst of the sea, in the midst of a world system where so many are troubled and cannot rest and where the wind is constantly blowing contrary, and against who we are in Christ and who He is in us. (Dan. 7:25; Rev. 12:10).

Christ is with us, being in us, calling us to walk with Him, in Him, right in and through the troubled sea. With our eyes on Him, we walk right in and through what ever would trouble us. It is only when our eyes are not on Him that we don't walk above all that He, in His love for us, HAS conquered. (Rom. 8:37; Heb. 12:2).

Yes, He is in the midst of the seeming ruin.

Yes, He is in the midst of our trouble. Yes, He is in the midst of the raging sea.

Will we hear only His voice calling us away from all that would distract us, unto Him. He is our center, not the raging sea, He is our rest, not the troubled thoughts and emotions. He is our eye in the midst of the storm.

All the storms that come against us do is bring out the intense value of what we have of Him in the Word of God. When the sea would cast us out, He gathers us to Himself. No one loves you and knows you like He does. The word of God is to be the distinguishing mark, and the anchor of hope for the believer in God. Heb. 6:19.
