Satisfied Resting in Him

The perfection of Jesus, while on earth, was His absolute dependence on His Father. This perfectness of Christ, when we rest in Him, fills and satisfies us when we occupy ourselves with how perfect and complete He is, and how perfect and complete we are in Him (Col. 2:9-10; 1 Jhn. 4:17-18).

He Himself sustains and helps us through the toil and danger on this wilderness road until we see Him face to face (1 Cor. 13:12). He has been manna for our journey through this wilderness, and as we feed on Him our souls have perfect rest in Him as our true sacrifice and our effectual and accomplished redemption.

(Ex. 16:15; Jhn. 6:32-35, 48-51, 58; 1 Cor. 1:30; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:3, 9-10; Jhn. 5:19; 15:1-5)
