Renewed | Pt. 3

We need to be constantly renewed. God is keeping us very near Himself so that He maintains the freshness of His grace and love in our souls.

Without being constantly renewed, spiritual energy does not continue in us. It is not progressing in knowledge that effects being renewed, as profitable as knowledge is for teaching and testimony.

What is most important is keeping ourselves near God through Christ. It is there, experiencing Christ in you, and you in Him is where His love for you maintains you and is the cause for your growth.

His love in our souls finds its activity and comfort in exercising itself towards us and the lost. God reveals Himself not only as infinite blessedness in Himself but also in the activities of His love in which He finds His delight. When His love is poured out without measure into our hearts we enjoy what He is, but this love is active towards us by His grace.

Activity, unless renewing itself in communion with Him, may be sincere, but will degenerate into a routine and a habit of acting, and is even dangerous, because the soul gets far from God without knowing it.

We need to seek the Lord in His Word and study, not to gain knowledge but to see, find Jesus, then true knowledge will follow into a proper experience.

God is above everything that could cause discouragement, far superior, and above in His love for you and me. He is far above, and you and I in Him, every difficulty. Ephesians 4:23; Colossians 3:10; Ephesians 3:19-21.
