No longer of the flesh

We, as His bride, His body, His church, have as this truth the unity of being one in Him before God our Father. We have the presence of the Holy Spirit, with the glorious expectation of the soon coming of our precious Lord. We are grounded not only in the forgiveness of our sins but also in the precious fact that we are dead and risen with our precious Savior.
This is our great deliverance and rest, the rest that we are not in the flesh, but IN HIM. Not only has the blood sheltered us, but we have been brought out of Egypt by the power of God and the deliverance which HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED. We ARE IN CHRIST, He has won our pardon for us. The first truth disposes of what we have done, of all the works of the flesh; the second, that we are dead with Christ and places us in an entirely new position, accepted in the Beloved.
The first truth disposes forever of what we have done. The second truth, of what we WERE in the flesh, and THAT we are no longer. When we keep close to Him, we continually receive our strength from Him. The strength that keeps me in my position in Him, while continually judging the self, the flesh, in which dwells no good thing.
(Rom. 6:1-14; 7:17, 20; Eph. 1:1-23; 2:1-10).
