Christ is the light (Jhn. 1:4; 8:12; 9:5; Ps. 36:9; 27:1; Jhn. 12:35-36).
He is our light, our only light. All else is darkness.
Christ is the food (Jhn. 6:32-35, 48, 50-51, 53-58; Ps. 34:8; 1 Cor. 10:31 = 32-33).
He is our food. All else is unhealthy and will lead to dis-ease.
Christ is the motive. (1 Cor. 13:1-13; 1 Jhn. 4:7-12, 16-21).
Christ is our motive, our only true and lasting motive. All else is only evil.
Our will is that which attaches itself to motive and becomes one with it. The known will and word of God is the light of day (Gen. 1:2-5). To be without it is to walk in the night of darkness, stumbling, danger, and pain will be the consequence.
If Christ is before our face, His light will be in us, and we won't stumble.
Ps. 34:5, “They looked unto Him, and they were lightened up with His light, and they were not ashamed.” That's because His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Mt. 11:28-30).
So, let all of us lay aside every burden before we sin, and let us look away from every distraction and look to Him and be lightened-up (Heb. 12:1-2).
