Humbled by Him

All things show themselves for what they truly are as we grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Notice the last part of 2 Peter 3:18, "To Him be glory both now and forever."

The older we get, the more we must rely on His grace for growth--for what is true reality. Reality is who God is, and how things are in His presence. Christ is always the same (Heb. 13:8; Ja. 1:17; Mal. 3:6; Num. 23:19), sufficient for the young, and sufficient for the old, and so full of tenderness and grace (Mt. 9:36; 14:14; Mk. 1:41).

We need to be kept humble so that we can know Christ and all the resources that are in Him, and in Him alone. Col. 1:13-19. All the resources are in Him for present difficulties and even for loneliness (Heb. 13:5, 8).

You and I are more than conquerors through Him, through His overpowering love for us (Rom. 8:37). Yes, more than all these "things", in and through and above those things in His love for you and I (Rom. 8:28-39).
