Hidden and Secure in Christ

John 10:3-5, "To Him the porter opens; and the sheep hear His voice; and He calls His own sheep by name. 4 And when He puts forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."

Satan wants your definition of yourself to be your sin to deceive, accuse, and to condemn you, others, and God Himself.

Truth without grace teaches the conscience to be condemned, and to not experience the proper image of being hidden in Christ, hidden and secure and safe from that fallen, ruined self that we are no longer in, in our position in Christ.

Oh, the freedom of living in the consciousness of His Presence! Law, legalism, works brings in self-will, and creates distance from Christ. But when mercy comes in (that deliverance from the misery of one’s own will, one’s own way—the very definition of sin) out goes the pain and in comes supreme grace and supreme mercy.

Now I see and experience how He knows me and sees me. My vision is no longer blurred, I’m no longer confused. I see, in Song of Sol., that in His eyes He has made me, in Christ to be “all fair and beautiful My beloved one, there is no blot or blemish of you in my sight,” and now, in the Son of My love, you are to experience and see from the top, your elevated position in the Preeminence of My Son. The shadows of doubt, fear, wrong anger, and confusion flees, and the ever new and unchanging light of His love for me dawns a new, fresh experience of who I am in the Son of His love. S.S .4:7-8;2: 17; 2 Pet. 1:19; Ja. 1:17; Col. 1:18.
