God's Will

God’s will is that we would walk by faith. As has been said before, the most important thing about us is that God knows us. He knows us in the essence of who He is. 1 John 4:8-16, tells us that God is love. There isn’t anything about us that God knows that is not included in His love for us.

He gave His Son for us, and He had to because His Son was the only One who could, and did meet His perfect justice and integrity. With His Son, doing so for His God and Father, and us, freed up the perfection of His love for us.

God’s love for us is perfect and complete because everything about His perfect nature has been satisfied about the sin question, and about all the sins of those who have received the Son of His love.

Now, God’s will about us, in Christ, is nothing but the perfection of His love. When we, through sin and failure, function outside of the perfection of His love and will, He functions in loving chastisement toward us. All of God’s wrath about the sin question and personal sins of those who have received the substitution of His Son, has been eternally dealt with. It has been dealt with to the point that God is resting satisfactorily in His love that is so for us.

God is nothing but for you. When you and I are not functioning in the experience of the perfection of His love, He functions toward us in His loving chastisement.

The reason God forgives us when we sin and fail, is because God forgiving us — is Him confirming His love for us, as His sons and daughters in His Son.

That is why, when we don’t forgive others, it interrupts the flow of our own experience of God’s love for us, and His love for them in us. He never stops loving you and I.
