2 Cor. 2:16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
1 Cor. 2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that we will instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Understanding of the thoughts of God will make us humble. It is a lowly position to know that we have nothing but what is in God of Christ. The effect spiritually will be to turn our hearts toward Him who is our portion; and this will draw us, His church,His body, His bride, away from all that is of the world; because God will soon take her up out of this world. (1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thes. 4:13-18).
This will force us to find our sources of joy and strength only in Him. There is a character of power attached to such knowledge. It is the power of the resurrection which places us in the same position as Christ in heaven. That is our position, IF we have this spiritual intelligence. (see 1 Cor. 2:14 versus 16, with 2 Cor. 2:16–and please beware of the Judaizers today, who try to make Judaism and Christianity one).
Oh, how power and wisdom are united! (1 Cor. 1:24; 2 Tim. 1:7; 1 Jn. 4:17=18).
It is a work of His power in us (Col. 1:27), and not our own wisdom. (1 Cor. 1:18-25).
God is above everything that could cause discouragement, far superior and above in His love for us—above every difficulty. (Rom. 8:31-39). In our weakest moments, yes, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us.
