Ephesians 1:6, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein HE HAS MADE US ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED. God, through giving us His beloved Son and the Son who gave Himself TO His Father and FOR us, has made us accepted, and brought us into this loving exchange that nothing can distract or disturb, a love that according to His will, will never let us go. A loving embrace that we or anything could never loosen us from.
How many that are His do not experience their acceptance and the enjoyment of it. In Lk. 15:2-14, could the prodigal doubt His father's acceptance of him when his father was covering him with kisses. It was so great that the prodigal wasn't even able to reveal his thoughts which were, "make me as one of your hired servants".
How many of His own, when they lose the experience of their Father's loving acceptance through sin or failure, like the prodigal, want to earn back their acceptance through works. Something that was lost in their experience but never in their POSITION of their Father's loving embrace.
This is where God the Holy Spirit begins His work of impressing on our souls that God loves us. Romans 5 is acceptance, and the Holy Spirit pouring out on us this loving embrace. None of us can truly be happy in the enjoyment of our acceptance until we experience the freedom that is ours in His love for us. And we are free through the deliverance that is ours because of who Christ is and what He has accomplished with so great a love.
We must learn, know, and experience the truth that we already are delivered from everything that would inhibit our acceptance. Romans 8:1-39, If nothing can separate me from His love, then in His love NOTHING can condemn you and me. Every kiss from his father's lips was, "I love you, I love you, I love you and I'm glad to have you back in my loving embrace."
Song of Solomon 1:2, “LET Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth: for your love is better than wine.”
