One With Him

Heb. 2:9, "But we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of Him having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person.

Heb. 12:2."Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus....."

Now that we have been chosen by God through receiving His Son as our Lord and Savior, we may ask God the same two questions that Moses asked God when He chose him.

1. “Who am I?” Exod. 3:11.

2. “Who are You?” Exod. 3:13.

The question “What is Your Name?” essentially is asking “What are you like, What are you all about?” The question “Who am I?” is asking “What am I all about?"

God's answer to both questions is "I Am with you, that is Who I am and that is who you are." Exod. 3:14; 33:13-14. I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. Heb. 13:5. The Lord's prayer in Jhn. 17:11, 20-21 was that “we might be one with them (Christ and His Father).”

He said this as He was facing the cross, where what was determined in eternity would now be accomplished in time. All the value, all of our desires in God would be fulfilled on that cross, where His Father would be glorified and all those that were His would be blessed.

Who are you and I today, what are we all about, why are we here? The answer is “God is for YOU”, Psa. 56:9; Rom. 8:31, since GOD FOR YOU, who can be against YOU. Can you even be against yourself? God wants you and I to see Him glorified in His Son (Jhn.17:4-5) and to see ourselves in Christ in us glorified. Col.1:27.

Did you know that He is teaching angels what He is like in us and us in Him? 1 Pet. 1:12. The angels watched Christ in His pre-incarnate state create universes and galaxies in Job 38:7 and yet they are continuing to learn about Him, by Him being in YOU and FOR YOU and in a way that no one could reveal Him like YOU and HIM could.

The angels watch and learn about Him as we fellowship with the Father and the Son. 1 Jhn. 1:3. We are eternally linked and fastened to Him where all the value we could ever desire is in Him with Him in us. Heb. 2:10-11.

Oh yes, He does love YOU and me, and yes, He does value YOU and me. It can only be measured by God giving YOU and I His only uniquely, one of a kind, eternally begotten Son.
