God, in the sweetness of His love and wisdom, has appointed everything that is—every single thing about you and I in Christ.
(Gen. 18:14; Is. 46:10; Ac. 15:18; Jhn. 13:19; 14:29; Jer. 29:11).
Everything—Everything that would have caused the failure, ruin, distance, and separation not only in time but for all eternity from God and you and I, HAS been put away in Christ on the Cross. This, then, has made everything about you and me not only bearable but sweet. (Psa. 104:34; 119:103; Pro. 27:7; Jud. 14:14).
I think our strength and rest depend upon our keeping before our souls, not the greatness of what is against us, but the greatness of what is for us. (Joel 3:10; Ps. 68:28; 2 Cor. 12:9; Jhn. 13:23; Heb .4:9-10; Rom. 8:31-39).
satan was and IS already overcome by the Man Christ Jesus. (1 Tim. 2:5; 1 Jhn. 4:4; 5:4; Gal. 6:14).
What Christ, in His Person and finished-work-accomplishment has done makes exceedingly bright this dying and passing away scene. (Psa. 34:5; 1 Pet. 2:11). These truths may be overlooked, forgotten, or missed, but they are yours and mine eternally, and can never be imitated, though the enemy would raise up thousands of rivals, many things that disturb and distract us from Christ’s desire, and ours, to experience that intimate depth of fellowship with Him, that not another thing can replace.
(Isa. 54:17; 59:19).
“Since God for us, does it even matter who or what is against us in Christ, made by Him more than conquerors?”
