As God takes us by His grace and truth in Christ (Jn. 1:14), His very Word (Jn. 1:1), and with our wills submitted to Him (Mt. 11:28-30), we continue to grow in that grace (2 Pet. 3:18), and in that grace of His alone (Eph. 2:7) we experience, here in time the truth of our one and only proper Image and true identity. (1 Jn. 5:20).
This incredible and magnificent Divine principle is His sovereign grace. (Sovereign: supreme in Power; possessing supreme dominion. Supreme, superior to all others; Chief. God is the Sovereign good of all who love and obey Him. Supremely efficacious; superior to all others; predominant; effectual, as the One and only Sovereign remedy. Supreme, as the Sovereign authority. He who possesses the highest authority without control.)
This is His sovereign grace, which takes up poor sinners (Jn. 3:16; 1 Jn. 4:10); blots out their sins (Is. 44:22; 45:23; Heb. 8:12; 10:17), and places them in the same glory as the Son (who became man for this, Jn. 1:1, 14; Phil. 2:6-8; 1 Tim. 2:5), and conformed us to the Image of His Son. This, and this alone, is the reality of our one and only Image, identity, and proper place.
(Please see Ephesians chaps. 1-3, with Rom. 8:28-29; and 2 Cor. 5:16-17). (Placed us in the same glory, as He is the Son of man, by virtue of Him becoming the Head of a whole new race, Col. 1:18; 2:19 = Jn.17:1-26).
