Blessed is the one who makes the Lord his trust

Psalm 73:25-26

Many things fail in us and around us, but there is One who is a stay, One in whom nothing can move, through it all. It was in the Spirit of Christ that was said "I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and He heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit (a pit of noise), out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings"

"And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many will see it, and fear (with a reverent awe), will trust in the Lord", Psalm 40:1-3.

When the Messiah and the Son of God were rejected, it was only to bring out the Son of man in the glory of the Father. (Psa. 2:1-12). No matter what we're going through (the enemy, failure, pain, unfaithfulness, or sorrow) God is never baffled, never at a loss. We only have to lean on Him and all is right. My resources might be fading, but it is alright: everything is right for faith. If all comes from God it must be right. Even where you and I have made mistakes, what comes from God is for good...our good.

Our trust is in God's hands, in His working. The very least confidence that we put in self will go wrong. The measure that I feel the distrust of myself will be the measure that He is my trust. Those who are the lowest and lowliest will be most blessed. He is forming you and me for a new song.

Blessed is the one who makes the Lord his trust.
